Cheetah at Rio 2016

While I wait for the start, I dig my claws into the dirt to get grip. I shake. As I watch the other competitors take their marks, I think about how far the race is. I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest. The lightning rushing through my blood. The others look like they are going to waste me by miles. I was nervous. My legs were as cold as an ice cube.

Ready….Set....Go!!                            

The sky, dark and misty, roars as we try to pass each other to get in front. I see the puma trying to sprint ahead, I catch up. As we sprint through the forest, the mud flicks up behind us. I see the end. I gulp. I see the others start to pick up the pace so I do as well. It feels amazing to be racing in this race. I don’t even think about how tired I am or how far it is, all I can think about is the place that I will get.

I sprint past the finish line faster than I ever thought I could. I yell. Finally it’s over. I stop. I think. I just realise that I am tired but I’m more relieved that I have finished. I look.The butterflies in my tummy had finally gone.  I congratulate the others, then I go receive my gold for New Zealand.

My Net

This is my box, it is made for a highlighter.
I had to make sure that the highlighter wouldn't jiggle around.
I made sure that all of the measurements were exact.
The box had 6 faces, 8 edges and 12 vertices.
This is what it turned out like.

 This is my 3D shape, it has 5 faces, 5 edges and 8 vertices.
It has 4 triangles and 1 square in the whole shape.

The Pohangia River

The Pohangina River.
This is about the Pohangina river that we went to at camp .
Room 2 did some researched about the river and came up with some ideas on how to show our learning.
I did a clay model this includes: Macroinvertebrates, a bridge, a fence, bushes, trees, a sewage pipe, facts, questions and answers
A interesting thing I found out that it is a run offs from cows can cause pollution.

The Spa Pool

The Spa Pool

Green trees droop over my head just touching the tip of my hair as I soak into the deep water

Noisey kids scream as they get a face full of water,

Wood,Rubber,metal

All are getting splashed as the children splash the dog.

Angry adults yell while putting up the huge umbrella

Huge bubbles pop, the clear water flows, powerful jets push us out of the way of the deep seats.

The crazy wind blows like a big strong force trying to pull us away

The Giant pot plant wobbles,

The old white lid waiting to be put back on the spa pool.

My Voki

Stitched Dot

Last week room 13 were doing stitched dot art work.
We needed a lot of things before we started we needed:
cardboard
paint
neon paint
wool or cotton
pain brushes
sewing pin
pin.
We needed to choose a colour and paint the cardboard that colour, then we waited for it to dry the next day we painted the cardboard a different colour then waited for that to dry.After we got some neon paint and splattered it onto the cardboard. Next we traced a circle and put in some markes on then we got some pins and made holes where the makes were we got a sewing pin and threded some wool in it and stitched through the  holes.

I Way Cycling

With about 1 minute till we get to the sports park Excitement going all around the bus The teacher saying, “Stay in your seats.” Frustrated by the children We walk out of the bus in joy I stare at Lyndell and Terese I quietly sit on the concrete I slowly get a type of hat and hop on my two wheeled vehicle I Quickly ride over the two hoses I look up to Lyndell while on my way over the hose I ride back to the line in relief Stops Waits Listens Then through an awkward moment of silence Everyone starts moving again Then lyndell starts talking again and all eyes go on her The two wheeled monster Start speeding and slowing down Wobbling Leans Falls Gets up Put stand down And then And then And then Then right before the game starts Everyone says yay

Rainbow springs was usual enough

Rainbow springs was usual enough;It had Animals, a laser maze, a playground, a water slide In the middle of the lake and even a flying fox that I didn't go on. My brother, My sister and I Did what kids do went on the water slide in the lake, stared at the birds and fish walked out the Metal door, ran like cheetahs to the lizard Feeding with my hot jacket around my waist splashed in puddles,swinging on the bars Doing nothing important.
