Lights Out
I heard the dog barking as I’m almost asleep.
I heard Cooper screaming because
he didn't want to go to bed.
I saw shadows on the roof of my mum and dad.
I saw the pillows over my face.
I felt the heavy sheet as I try to get to sleep.
I felt the pillows underneath my head.
I wonder if I will wake up early.
I wonder if my dog will jump on my legs.
